Unlearning the Good Girl Through Art
An embodied, expressive workshop for anyone craving more freedom.(virtual)
Service Description
For so many of us, the “good girl” was our first identity. She was the little one who stayed small, stayed polite, stayed agreeable, stayed quiet, stayed predictable. She earned safety by being easy to love. By pleasing. But this slowly eroded our own voice, self-trust and truth. It also made creativity feel risky and anxiety filled, when it simply is meant to offer us a chance to see and witness ourselves. This free 1-hour workshop is an invitation to let all of that unravel — gently, creatively, and in community. Together, we’ll explore what it means to unlearn the inner good girl through art-making. Not art meant to be perfect or pretty or skillful. But art that is allowed to be honest, messy, emotional, intuitive… even rebellious. You will be guided through an expressive art prompt where you will learn to trust your hands more than your inner critic. No artistic skill is required. You only need a pen, paper, whatever supplies you want to bring (paint, crayons, collage materials etc…)and a willingness to let your creativity breathe. This hour is tender, playful, liberating, and deeply awakening. It is a taste of what we practice inside Good Girls Make Bad Art — permission, expression, embodied confidence, and creative freedom. If you’re feeling the pull toward more self-trust, more courage, more expression, and more YOU… Come join us. Workshop is virtual over zoom. If you cannot make it live, that is okay! All who sign up and register will get an email of the replay next day.
