Stephanie Chinn is the international bestselling author of her debut book, Here Sister, Let Me Help You Up. She is an illustrator, speaker, therapeutic arts practitioner, and the founder of Step Into Your Magic, a community that supports women in healing and taking up space through workshops and retreats.

Her work focuses on unpacking the ways we remind ourselves that we are enough, while also exploring the many ways we have been led to believe that we are not. Stephanie began sharing her work on Instagram in 2019 and has since grown an audience of over 80,000 people. She has partnered with major companies and organizations including Health Magazine, the Geena Davis Institute, Adobe, and She Recovers.

Stephanie has spoken at major conferences alongside notable figures, sharing about the importance of creativity for women’s mental health and well-being. Through leading workshops, she began noticing how many women struggle to create because of fear — fear that their art won’t be good enough or fear that they will get something “wrong” in the creative process.

Inspired by this, Stephanie founded Good Girls Making Bad Art, a movement centered on women unraveling people-pleasing, perfectionism, and the “good girl” narrative through self-expression and creative play. It originally started as a single workshop online, but due to demand it has expanded into growing virtual art club and sold out in-person and virtual workshops. In addition to community workshops, Stephanie also facilitates corporate art workshops and recovery-centered creative experiences.

Stephanie’s work has also been featured in Elizabeth Gilbert’s Letters from Love newsletter. She recently released her self-published journaling and coloring book, The Art of Women Taking Up Space, and is currently working on The Spaces They Leave, a therapeutic arts book for those navigating the grief of losing a beloved pet.
