Healing Through Art: Pet Grief

A Therapeutic art workshop on working through pet grief. NO ART EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Ended
35 US dollars
Zoom meet-up

Service Description

We don't have to go through pet-grief alone, in fact -- we shouldn't. Our fur, feathery and scaly babies become apart of our family, and we need space to grieve, and honor them the same way we do humans. We don't have to do it alone and can heal within a safe and supportive community of others on the same path of healing. This workshop, facilitated by Therapeutic Arts Practitioner; Stephanie Chinn, offers a safe and supportive space where we can explore pet-grief and the different avenues to healing through our grief. It doesn't matter if you lost a pet 2 days ago, or 6 years ago -- you still can show up and work through whatever stage of grief you may be in. We will make a piece honoring our love for our lost baby while also processing the grief, with where we are currently at. No artistic experience is necessary—just an open heart and the willingness to create. This workshop is process focused, not outcome. Stephanie will also share what has helped her move and work through the loss of her soul dog; Nom Noms. Therapeutic arts can help us work through parts of ourselves that do not live in our mind, but reside in our subconscious -- where we can regulate our nervous systems and create long-term healing. If you are new to therapeutic arts, I encourage you to be willing to try something new to add to your tool belt, and to do so alongside a supportive community. Supplies needed: 3 sheets of blank paper, a pen, and any kind of supplies you may already have (markers, crayons, paint etc...) This workshop is virtual, NO ART EXPERIENCE NEEDED - All who join will be emailed a replay next day, so it is okay if you cannot join the live and want to do it in your own time. Are you in Canada and want to pay in CAD? You can e-transfer $35 to sleeplesssteph@gmail.com - make sure to include that it is for the pet grief workshop in message section.
